This is your backstage. The patient sees nothing until you launch the deck and start sharing. When you're done, stop sharing before you come back here.
"Let me show you something, because I think it explains why nothing you've tried has held. Think about what happens when you cut your skin at twenty-five versus at sixty-five. At twenty-five it heals fast, closes clean. At sixty-five that same cut takes longer, heals weaker, sometimes doesn't close at all. (bring up panel) It isn't that your body forgot how to heal β it hasn't. What's changed is what it has to work with. Every faded dot is capacity you used to have and don't anymore. That's what's been happening inside your knee / hip / lower back β breaking down faster than your body can rebuild it. Everything you've tried has managed the symptom while that gap kept widening. That's not a failure of effort. It's a mismatch between the problem and the tool."
"Here's the way I'd put it. Imagine a child puts their hand on a hot stove. What do you do? You pull the hand off. Immediately. What you don't do is hand them an ice pack and tell them to manage it. (bring up panel) But that's more or less what conventional pain treatment does. The ice pack is the medication, the cortisone, the anti-inflammatories β anything that quiets the signal. They work, for a while. The burner is the damage underneath, still producing the pain. Still on. Which is why the relief keeps running out, and each round lasts a little less than the one before. Pain isn't the problem. Pain is your body telling you there is one."
"So the obvious question is β if the body knows how to repair, and the damage is right there, why doesn't it just get on with it? (bring up panel) Cartilage and connective tissue have very poor blood supply. That's the whole issue. The repair signals your body sends out don't arrive reliably, because the route isn't there. Think of a delivery driver who knows the package needs to get somewhere, but the road is closed. The package exists. The destination exists. The connection just isn't happening β which is why time hasn't fixed this. What regenerative medicine does is bypass the road: the biological material is introduced directly to the site. The delivery gets made. The treatment doesn't heal you β it gives your body what it needs to do what it was already designed to do."
